State Attorney Phil Archer Takes Office;

Swears in Assistant State Attorneys

 

Brevard-Seminole State Attorney Phil Archer took the oath of office Tuesday at 9 a.m. in a Brevard County courtroom and immediately swore in the staff of Assistant State Attorneys. The oath was administered to Archer by outgoing State Attorney Norm Wolfinger (Retired).

The brief ceremony will be repeated in Seminole County at 2 p.m.

The ceremony marked the end of Wolfinger’s 28 years as State Attorney in the two-county Eighteenth Judicial District and the end of Archer’s 28 years as an Assistant State Attorney on Wolfinger’s staff.

Archer has vowed to extend the office’s focus on economic crimes and crimes against the elderly while continuing the push to protect citizens from career criminals.
