January 27, 2015 Brevard County Grand Jury Issues First-Degree Murder Indictment in Dec. 29 Rockledge Shooting

The Brevard County Grand Jury issued a first-degree premeditated murder indictment against Ricky Adams Glasco, 41, Rockledge, for the Dec. 29, 2014, death of Steven Matthew Jackson Jr.

The mortally wounded Jackson, 26, Melbourne, was discovered by residents in a car by the side of the road in a Rockledge neighborhood. He died a short time later. The grand jury heard testimony from two Brevard County Sheriff’s Office agents and a crime scene investigator.

Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt presented the case to the Grand Jury, which also returned two additional charges against Glasco: robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Glasco remains at the Brevard County jail where he has been held without bond since his arrest on New Year’s Day 2015. He is scheduled for a first appearance there on the charges tomorrow.
