The Seminole County Grand Jury Issues First-degree Premeditated Murder

Charge in Death of Oviedo Toddler

 

The Seminole County Grand Jury issued an indictment Wednesday (Nov. 30) charging Kristen Marie DePasquale, 27, with first-degree premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse in the Nov. 10 strangulation death of her one-year toddler at the family’s home, 1123 Covington St., Oviedo.

 

Assistant State Attorney Stacey Salmons presented evidence and facts provided bywitnesses to the jury before they returned the indictment. The Volusia County medical examiner and an Oviedo Police Department detective testified.

 

DePasquale was arrested on Nov. 14 and has been held since that time at the Seminole County Jail without bond.
