December 14, 2016 West Shore Student Scores Top Prize; Brevard Seminole State Attorney Logo Competition—Brevard County Public Schools

State Attorney Phil Archer recently traveled to West Shore Junior/Senior High School in Melbourne to make a surprise presentation to Martina Parguian, 12th grade Digital Arts student and winner of the “State Attorney Logo Design Contest.” In addition to a certificate of congratulations, Archer presented Parguian with a $250 cash prize and his thanks for a great job on her winning design.

“This contest has been a tremendous opportunity to see the creativity and capability of the students who submitted designs to our office” Archer said.

Parguian’s winning design was selected from those submitted to the State Attorney as part of the six week competition open to Brevard high school visual arts students that took place in November.

“It was a difficult decision but ultimately this design stood out as our favorite” Archer said. He also added “I’m very impressed with Martina and I’m certain great things lie ahead for her.”

Mr. Archer was joined by West Shore Principle Rick Fleming for the presentation, along with Brevard County Public Schools Bridget Geiger, K-12 Visual Arts and Resource Teacher for the District (not pictured). Ms. Parguian’s classroom teacher is Jim Finch who was also recognized by Mr. Archer.
