Brevard County Grand Jury Issues Indictment

In Cocoa Double Murder Case

The Brevard County Grand Jury issued an indictment today (May 2) charging MARTY ROLAND CONNELL 41, with two (2) counts of first degree premeditated murder for the beating deaths of his Grandmother Maxine Mills (84) and Aunt Holly Crossman(61)that took place in their home at 4061 Eucalyptus Place, Cocoa, Brevard County, FL on April 4th, 2017.

On April 4th, Brevard County Deputies were called by CONNELL who told them he had killed two relatives (Mills and Crossman) with a hammer and left them in their home. Responding deputies found Mills and Crossman deceased at the Eucalyptus home identified by CONNELL. CONNELL was located under the 528 Bridge near Industrial Drive and later arrested for the murders. CONNELL remains in the Brevard County Jail on no bond.

The grand jury heard testimony from Brevard County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Brevard County Medical Examiner before returning with the indictment. No trial date has been set and CONNELL’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 3rd, 2017 8:00 AM.
