January 23, 2018 Brevard Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Titusville Domestic Violence Murder

The Brevard County Grand Jury issued an indictment today (January 23) charging TIMOTHY ALLEN UPTHEGROVE, 53 with one (1) count of premeditated first degree murder for the death of his wife,  Lori Upthegrove, 51 during a December 18th, 2017 attack at the couple's home in Titusville.

UPTHEGROVE was also indicted for single counts of tampering with physical evidence and failure to report a death after attempting to conceal the crime by moving and hiding Lori Upthegrove's deceased body. UPTHEGROVE later directed Titusville Police to a lot on Bobbi Lane where Lori's remains were recovered on December 24th, five days after family members reported her missing.

The grand jury heard testimony from the Brevard County Medical Examiner, along with Titusville Crime Scene and Criminal Investigators before returning with the indictment. No trial date has been set and UPTHEGROVE's next court appearance is scheduled for January 24th, 2018 1:15 PM at the Brevard County Jail. UPTHEGROVE remains in custody on No Bond.
