June 12, 2018 - Seminole Grand Jury Indicts Two Defendants In Sanford Drive-By Homicide

Today (June 12th) the Seminole County Grand Jury issued an indictment charging PHILLIP HUNT (16) and ROVONTE DANIELS (23) with one (1) count each of First Degree Premeditated Murder for the death of Lester Inman (18) in a drive-by shooting on December 27th, 2017 in Sanford, Fl.

Inman was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Terry Lane and Scott Drive in Sanford, when the occupants of a passing vehicle fired shots that struck and killed him. After a months long investigation by the Sanford Police Department, sufficient evidence was uncovered to charge HUNT and DANIELS with the murder in April.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from a Sanford Police Criminal Investigator before returning with the indictment. No trial date has been set and arraignments for both HUNT and DANIELS have not yet been scheduled.
