January 30, 2019 - Brevard Grand Jury Issues Indictments in 2018 Palm Bay Robbery Murder

Yesterday (Jan 29) the Brevard County Grand Jury issued indictments charging ANTONIO ANDERSON (21) and RICHARDO GARZA (22) with First Degree Felony Murder (CF) and Armed Robbery with Firearm (F1 PBL) in connection with the death of D'Chaun Green (23) last month.

On December 18, 2018 at 10:52 am, a 911 call alerted Palm Bay Police that shots were heard, and a car had crashed into a tree and wall in front of 1698 Sunny Brook Lane. Inside that car police found Green unresponsive with a fatal gunshot wound.

Surveillance video showed Green's car arrived at the location and backed into a parking spot. A second car occupied by two men, parked nearby. One subject is seen approaching Green and then firing a gun into his car. The car rolls forward, stopping when it hits the wall. The gunman then retrieves a bag from Green's car and flees the scene with the driver. The police investigation revealed that ANDERSON and GARZA were the two subjects in the second car.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from the Brevard County Medical Examiner, Palm Bay Police Investigators, and a lay witness before returning with the indictments. ANDERSON is in custody in Palm Beach County on unrelated charges with a No Bond detainer. The date for his return to Brevard County hasn't been determined. GARZA fled the area after the murder and remains a fugitive. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Palm Bay Police at 321-952-3539 OR to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, call Crimeline at 407-423-TIPS (8477).
