October 24, 2019 Xavier Turner Receives Two Life Sentences for Murder and Robbery

Yesterday (Oct 23), Judge Robin Lemonidis sentenced Xavier TURNER (23) to Life in Prison on each of his two convictions for First Degree Felony Murder (CF), and Robbery with a Firearm (F1 PBL) for his role in the death of Dimitric Bailey (22) on July 29, 2018, in Cocoa. The sentences will be served concurrently. TURNER was convicted by a jury on August 29, 2019.

Cocoa Police reported that a surveillance camera captured Dimitric Bailey park his car in front of a home in the 1700 Block of Vagabond Street. TURNER and two other defendants, Kenneth LEVATT (25) and Markice HARVEY (26) then executed a planned robbery and shot Bailey before fleeing the scene. Cocoa Police later found Bailey deceased in his car. All three men were subsequently arrested and held on murder and robbery charges.

TURNER was ordered held in the Brevard County Jail for a Violation of Probation hearing scheduled for December 5, 2019, at 8:30 am. Once resolved, TURNER is expected to be transfered to the Florida Department of Corrections to begin serving his life sentences.

LEVATT and HARVEY are still in custody awaiting trial.
