September 22, 2021 - Harry PAGE Acquitted in 2017 Satellite Beach Attack

Yesterday (Sept 21), a Brevard County Jury acquitted Harry PAGE (41) of Sexual Battery with Great Bodily Harm (LF), Burglary of a Conveyance with Battery (F1 PBL), Aggravated Battery (F2), Robbery (F2), and False Imprisonment (F3), and convicted him of one (1) count of Battery (M1) for a 2017 violent attack on a victim in Satellite Beach.

Judge Steve Henderson presided over the eight day trial with evidence presented by state prosecutors. The jury deliberated approximately 1 and a half hours before returning with the verdict. Judge Henderson then sentenced PAGE to 364 days and credited him with time served.

Prosecutors described the verdict as incomprehensible given the physical evidence that showed the victim had been attacked and seriously injured. It also disputed PAGE's testimony of consensual sex. In a statement after the verdict Spokesperson Todd Brown said, "We can't begin to understand this, we thought we made a very strong case. Ultimately we respect the decision of the jury."

On February 12, 2017, Satellite Beach police reported a woman was reading a book in her car at Hightower Beach Park, when Page attacked, beat and raped her. Police said PAGE pulled the woman from the car, pinned her to the ground and hit her several times in the face and head. After a weeks long investigation, PAGE was arrested when his DNA was matched to that recovered by police on a towel at the scene of the attack.

PAGE's DNA was on file after he was classified as a violent sexual predator and convicted in a 2000 sexual battery attack in Polk County, serving 13 years in state prison.

PAGE is being held on No Bond awaiting transfer to Polk County where he is facing a charge of failure to register as a sexual predator.
