July 13, 2010 Seminole Grand Jury Issues No True Bill in One Case, Murder Indictment in Second

The Seminole County Grand Jury declined to charge a Winter
Springs man in connection with the October 9, 2009 shooting death of his
fiancée, Nancy Dinsmore, 62.

The man, 63-year-old John Tabbutt, testified before the grand
jury as did a Winter Springs detective and two of Dinsmore’s family
members. Tabbutt was never arrested in connection with the death, but
the results of an investigation were presented to the jury which
returned a no true bill, determining charges were not warranted, said
Assistant State Attorney James Carter.

In the second case, the Grand Jury returned an
indictment charging Tarance Moore, 18, Sanford, with first-degree
premeditated murder with a firearm and robbery with a firearm. Moore was
arrested by Sanford Police detectives on June 16 for the June 15
shooting of 17-year-old Ikeem Ruffin. Moore remains in custody at the
Seminole County jail.
