Seminole State Attorney Norm Wolfinger Announces Second Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Mark your calendars, Seminole County seniors! There is an informational expo just around the corner–June 15—that features the people who care the most about your health and welfare. The Seminole County World Elder Abuse Awareness Day will be observed globally and on the county level on June 15 at the Casselberry Senior Center, 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry.
Seminole State Attorney Norm Wolfinger’s office is coordinating the project along with a number of other state, federal, and county offices, but it is not to late to join in the event and obtain a display area for products and services. The informational expo focuses on providing information useful in helping keep seniors safe, healthy, informed, and active.
In addition to the informational material that will be distributed at the event, there will be members of local law enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office Elder Abuse Unit, and others on hand to chat with seniors and conduct informational workshops. Live entertainment will also be provided.
If you are a service provider or vendor and would like to reserve a booth, please call Assistant State Attorney Lymary Munoz or Investigator Joe Mohr at 407-665-6000 before June 8. If you are an interested, active senior wanting to be informed about living the best and fullest life you can, mark June 15 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on your calendar as a Red-Letter Day. See you at the expo!
