Assistant State Attorneys

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Successful candidates are committed to becoming effective trial advocates, dedicated and responsive to the public they serve, and strive to achieve the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in the practice of law.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a member of the Florida Bar or eligible for post-graduate certification or certification as an out-of-state Bar member.

COMPENSATION: Entry-level Assistant State Attorneys are compensated at an annual rate of $60,000 to $66,000 depending on experience.

 

Support Staff Opportunities

To support the prosecutorial function of the Office of the State Attorney, we employ investigators (CLE), paralegals, clerical, data entry, information techs, victim advocates, and legal assistants.

Salaries are commensurate with education, experience, and the position for which you are applying. Health, life, dental, vision, supplemental insurance benefits, and tuition reimbursement are available. Employees accrue vacation and sick leave on a monthly basis.

As a State of Florida employee, support staff participate in the Florida State Retirement System.
