Assistant State Attorneys

JOB LOCATIONS: Brevard or Seminole Counties
JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY
CLOSING DATE: Continually accepting applications. Hiring based on current needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Successful candidates are committed to becoming effective trial advocates, dedicated and responsive to the public they serve, and strive to achieve the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in the practice of law.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a member of the Florida Bar or eligible for post-graduate certification or certification as an out-of-state Bar member.

COMPENSATION: Depending upon experience, entry-level Assistant State Attorneys are compensated at an annual rate of $50,000.


(EMAP)

Newly hired employees participate in an orientation program referred to as EMAP. During EMAP participation, newly hired employees become acquainted with the staff, function, and goals of the various divisions within the agency.

Information Technology and software training is incorporated into the EMAP program and includes specialized data base training.

The Office of the State Attorney continuously considers applications from citizens who wish to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities are contingent upon the availability, experience, and education of the person wishing to participate as a Citizen Volunteer.
