Seminole County Grand Jury Indicts

The Seminole County Grand Jury returned an indictment today against Jeffery N. Tilton, 30, Winter Springs, charging him with first-degree premeditated murder, attempted sexual battery, and kidnapping in connection with the June 3 death of Marie Alers, 45, Winter Springs.

The Jury heard testimony from the Medical Examiner and an investigator with Winter Springs Police Department before returning the indictment. Tilton has been held in the Seminole County Jail without bond since his arrest on June 3. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on July 26 before Seminole Circuit Judge Donna McIntosh.
