The Brevard County Grand Jury returned first-degree premeditated murder indictments Tuesday against three men for the February 28 death of Willie Parker who was 29. Parker was killed as he and a friend were sitting on a car outside a home on South Georgia Avenue in Cocoa.

The three were also charged with attempted first-degree felony murder for the non-fatal shooting of Marvis Christian, Parker's friend, and attempted robbery with a firearm while inflicting great bodily harm or death on the men.

Jonathan Lee Page, 20, was arrested by Cocoa police officers on Sept. 28 and remains held without bond in the Brevard County Jail. He is scheduled to have a first appearance on the charges Wednesday, October 25 at the jail. Christopher Pratt, 27, and Vahtiece Kirkman, 27, are in federal custody in South Carolina for unrelated drugs and firearms charges to which they have pled and are awaiting sentencing. "Detainers have been placed on them," said Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt.

Hunt said the jury heard evidence from Brevard County crime scene agents, a Cocoa police detective, and four lay witnesses.
