The Brevard County Grand Jury returned a first-degree premeditated murder indictment against Christopher Uria Samuels for the December 23 shooting death of James Bridges, 31, of Rockledge.

The Grand Jury also indicted Craig Antonio Samuels on a charge of aggravated assault for threatening Bridges with a bat on the same date.

Both Christopher Samuels, 22, and Craig Samuels, 34, remain in the Brevard County Jail, Christopher without bond, and Craig under $100,000 bond.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from a Brevard County homicide investigator, a crime scene agent, and two civilian witnesses present at the murder scene. Both men are scheduled to go before a judge January 24 at the jail for first appearances on the charges.
