Seminole County Grand Jury Issues

First-degree Felony Murder Indictment

 

 

The Seminole County Grand Jury issued a first-degree felony murder indictment today (July 17) against Mack Charles Jackson, 27, 2049 Schuller Way, Casselberry, for the June 24 shooting death of Omar Raheem.

 

Mr. Raheem was a co-owner of the Texaco Convenience Store, 201 S. R. 436, Casselberry, and was shot and killed as his store was being robbed. Jackson was also indicted on one count of robbery with a firearm for that act. He was indicted on a second count of robbery with a firearm for robbing the Winn Dixie Liquor Store, 7800 U. S. Highway 17-92, about 15 minutes before the Texaco.

 

The Grand Jury heard testimony from Casselberry Police Corporal Jennifer Chapman, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Chris Maiorano, and lay person Clifford Hipp before returning the indictment. Jackson was arrested on June 25, 2012 and is being held in the Seminole County Jail.
