April 23, 2007 Seminole County Grand Jury Indicts Man for 2003 Murder, Abduction

A Seminole County Grand Jury indicted Jorge Robles, 38, on Tuesday in connection with the 2003 felony murder and kidnapping of Wilfredo Rivera, a member of the Orlando hip-hop recording industry. Robles, who listed a New York address, was also charged with kidnapping Michael Madison.

Rivera, 36, formerly of St. Cloud, and Madison, 28, from Orlando, were held against their will and beaten before Rivera was shot in the upper body shortly after midnight on March 9, 2003. The Grand Jury heard from five witnesses including a Seminole County Sheriff’s detective who worked with the DEA and the Federal Marshall’s Office in the apprehension of Robles who had fled the country, said Assistant State Attorney Pat Whitaker.

Robles is currently held in the Seminole County Jail where he is scheduled for an arraignment on the charges on May 5 at 8:30 a.m. before Circuit Court Judge Marlene Alva.
