The Brevard County Grand Jury issued a first-degree premeditated murder indictment today (April 9) against Marcus Antonio Royal, 33, Cocoa, for killing an 80-year-old widow on March 17. The Grand Jury included in the indictment a charge of attempted first-degree premeditated murder for the near fatal attack of 55-year old Michael Fallon, Cocoa.
Additionally, the Grand Jury charged Royal with two counts of robbery, and one each of kidnapping, armed burglary of a dwelling with an assault or battery,

Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt said Fallon was arriving at the widow’s home to check on her when he was attacked.
Royal surrender in Virginia and was returned to Brevard County to face the charges. He remains in the Brevard County Jail where he is being held without bail. Jail officials are in charge of whether or not he will be served the indictment tomorrow (Wednesday) during first appearances or not.
