Brevard Grand Jury Issues First-Degree
Murder Indictment in Rockledge Slaying
The Brevard County Grand Jury issued a first–degree premeditated murder indictment today (Sept. 9) against David Glen Brevick for the August death of his wife, Francia Vargas-Brevick.
Brevick called 911 on August 8 and said his wife was being attacked at their home at 7030 Herons Landing Dr., in Rockledge. Brevard Sheriff’s Office deputies and Brevard Fire Rescue responded, and the 56-year-old woman was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center where she died on August 10. Brevard deputies arrested Brevick on a charge of first-degree premeditated murder.
The Grand Jury heard testimony from the Brevard Sheriff’s Office case agent and crime scene investigator, Brevard County Medical Examiner, and an independent forensic pathologist before returning the indictment. Brevick remains in the Brevard County Jail where he is being held without bail and is scheduled for a first appearance on the indictment tomorrow.
