“Good News” Coming At You

From Your State Attorney’s Office

Not for Publication

This is just a reminder that State Attorney Phil Archer is hosting the Crime Victims’ Rights Annual recognition this week in both Brevard and Seminole counties. It is a good opportunity for us to recognize people who go above and beyond in what is often times a thankless job.

Brevard’s event is April 21 at the Suntree Tower in Melbourne, 6905 North Wickham Road, at 9 a.m. The majority of the attendees will be people who work in the criminal justice system including some from our staff, the courthouse, law enforcement, and service providers for victims.

The Seminole event is April 22 at the Longwood Community Building, 200 West Warren Ave., Longwood, again at 9 a.m., same crowd.

Six awards will be given at each event: Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Norman R. Wolfinger Attorney of the Year Award, Advocate of the Year (2); and Outstanding Service (2). We will be sending out a release with the winners the day of the event, but anyone is welcome to come and get your own video. State Attorney’s Office Investigator Todd Brown will be at both events and will be happy to facilitate any interviews or help you set up in a location unobtrusively if you don’t want to stay for the whole show! Todd’s contact info is as follows: (office) 321-633-2132, (cell) 321-704-0220, TABROWN@sa18.org, or on Twitter @SA18PIO.
