May 25, 2016 Seminole County Grand Jury Issues Indictments in Two Cases

The Seminole County Grand Jury issued two indictments Tuesday, May 24: one charging Jimmie Elliott, 28, with first degree murder and burglary with a battery in connection with the April 24thdeath of 28-year-old Latrice Anshanetee Randolph, and, in a separate case, an indictment of 14-year-old Jaheim Holley, Sanford, for attempted felony murder and robbery with a firearm.

Holley was 13-years-old when he was accused of robbing Justin McKnight, 19, and shooting him on March 28 in Sanford. Assistant State Attorney Dan Faggard said indicting Holley as an adult would give the courts greater discretion as far as theremedies available in the case.

Elliott was arrested on April 26 when a family member of the victim discovered her body in her apartment where Elliott and his brother, Jeremiah were staying. Faggard filed charges of compounding a felony and resisting arrest without violence against Jeremiah Elliott, who is 23, today (May 25). Both brothers remain in the Seminole County Jail.
