Seminole County Grand Jury Indicts

In Homicide Burglary Grand Theft

 

The Seminole County Grand Jury issued a First-degree Murder indictment Tuesday, Aug. 9, against Davion Shakeem Stewart, 977 Vineridge Run # 304, Altamonte Springs, in connection with the August 1st death of 81 year old Jackie Allen Hammer at his home also in Altamonte Springs.

 

The Seminole County Grand Jury heard testimony from an Altamonte Springs Police Department Detective before returning the indictment against 19-year-old Stewart. The Grand Jury also indicted Stewart on eight additional related charges of Burglary with Battery – First-degree Felony Punishable by Life and two additional Burglaries of a Dwelling both Second-degree Felonies, Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle - Second-degree Felony; Grand Theft – Second-degree Felony, Tampering with Evidence – Third-degree Felony; Credit Card Fraud – Third-degree Felony; Petty Theft – Second-degree Misdemeanor

 

Stewart was arrested by Ft. Lauderdale Police August 5th on a sealed Seminole County Arrest Warrant issued August 4th. Stewart was transferred to Seminole County Jail this morning, had his first appearance today at 1:30  and is currently being held on no bond.
