March 20, 2018 Brevard Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Cocoa Murder Case

The Brevard County Grand Jury issued an indictment today (Mar 20) charging JOSHUA REECE KERAVUORI, 19 of Silver Spring, MD with one (1) count of premeditated first degree murder for the death of Terry Hilliard, 65 of Ocala who was found dead in his room at the Dixie Motel in Cocoa on February 7th, 2018.

KERAVUORI was also indicted for single counts of grand theft (motor vehicle), fraudulent use of a credit card, and petit theft as KERAVUORI took Hilliard's car and used his credit card after the murder. KERAVUORI was arrested February 19th in Alpharetta, GA after telling a city bus driver he had a warrant for his arrest. KERAVUORI was extradited back to Florida and held at the Brevard County jail in Sharpes.

The grand jury heard testimony from the Brevard County Medical Examiner, along with a Cocoa Police Crime Scene Investigator and a Detective before returning the indictment. No trial date has been set, and KERAVUORI's next court appearance is scheduled for March 21st, 2018, at 1:15 PM at the Brevard County Jail.

KERAVUORI remains in custody on No Bond.
