Seminole Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Casselberry Domestic Violence Murder
The Seminole County Grand Jury issued an indictment today (May 8th) charging WILLIAM PYLE, (51) of 239 Mont Blanc Court, Casselberry with one (1) count of Premeditated First Degree Murder for the death of his former girlfriend and roommate, Pamela Rooks, (55) during an April 10th, 2018 attack at the couple's home.
Casselberry Police responded to the Summit Village Condominiums after PYLE's mother placed a 911 call reporting she found Rooks unresponsive on the floor. PYLE initially told police that Rooks grabbed her chest and fell during an argument. An autopsy determined Rooks death was a homicide and the result of strangulation. PLYE was taken into custody on April 16th, 2018 after a warrant was obtained charging him with First Degree Murder.
The Grand Jury heard testimony from the Volusia County Medical Examiner, along with Casselberry Police Criminal Investigators before returning with the indictment. No trial date has been set and PYLE's next court appearance is scheduled for May 15th, 2018 at 1:30 PM before Judge Marlene Alva at the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center.
PYLE remains in custody on No Bond.
