- Seminole Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Sanford Domestic Murder
Yesterday, (Sept 11) the Seminole County Grand Jury indicted EULE WATSON (75) for one count of First Degree Premeditated Murder (CF), Kidnapping (F1 PBL), Aggravated Battery of a Person 65 or Older (F1), and Sexual Battery with use of a Deadly Weapon (LF) in the death of his wife Alice Watson (82).
On August 10th, 2018 Lake Mary Police contacted WATSON wandering in their city, who said they should check on his wife. Sanford Police then discovered the body of Alice Watson at the couple's home located at of 100 Sycamore Ct, Sanford, FL. The victim had been tortured and then brutally killed by WATSON.
In a statement State Attorney Phil Archer said "This was one of the most shocking and horrific acts of violence I have seen in my 34 years as a prosecutor." He went on to say, "The pain and suffering experienced by Alice Watson prior to her death is inexcusable and demands we seek justice in accordance with those actions."
The Grand Jury heard testimony from a Sanford Police Criminal Investigator before returning with the indictment. WATSON remains in custody on No Bond and is scheduled* for a first appearance on Wednesday Sept 12th, 2018 - 1:30 PM at the Seminole County Jail.
*Defendants may have first appearance waived by the Court without notice.
