October 16, 2018 - Brevard Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Melbourne Shooting Death

The Brevard County Grand Jury issued an indictment today (Oct 16) charging REGINALD A. LITTLE JR., (25) of 6026 Pinewood Dr. NE, Palm Bay with one (1) count of First Degree Felony Murder with Firearm (Capital) for the death of Lemonta Wynn (26).

The Grand Jury also indicted LITTLE for one (1) count of Attempted Robbery with a Firearm While Inflicting Death (F2).

On August 20, 2018, Melbourne Police responded to a shooting at 2513 Lipscomb Street where they found Wynn unresponsive and suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Using information from witnesses and evidence at the scene, investigators learned that LITTLE had planned to rob Wynn and then shot him during the attempt. LITTLE fled the area and an arrest warrant, charging him with First Degree Felony Murder, was obtained. LITTLE remained a fugitive until he was captured in New York on September 20, 2018, and later extradited back to the Brevard County jail where he remains on NO BOND.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from an Associate Brevard County Medical Examiner, along with Melbourne Police Criminal Investigators and lay witnesses before returning with the indictment. No trial date has been set. LITTLE is scheduled for first appearance* at the jail on Wednesday, October 17 at 1:15 PM.

*Defendants may have first appearance waived by the Court without notice.
