October 8, 2007 Brevard Grand Jury Indicts Mary Morgan Mallory In 2006 Homicide

The Brevard County Grand Jury returned an indictment on Tuesday charging Mary Morgan Mallory with first-degree premeditated murder, a capital offense, for the February 2006 death of Nollie Moore. The Jury also charged Mallory with failure to report a death, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt, who presented the case to the Jurors, said they heard from two Brevard County Sheriff’s Office employees: a crime scene agent and the case agent. Mallory has been held in the Brevard County Jail without bond since her arrest on Sept. 6. Mallory was a phlebotomist with the Brevard County Health Department before her arrest. Prior to that she had worked as a school nurse at a Brevard County elementary school.

Mallory is scheduled to make an initial appearance on the indicted charges on Wednesday at the jail.
