January 22, 2019 - Jury finds Scott Love Guilty in 2016 Murder of James Mulrenin

On Friday (Jan 18) a Seminole County Jury found SCOTT MICHAEL LOVE (33) guilty of First Degree Felony Murder (CF), Burglary of a Dwelling with Battery (F1-PBL), and Robbery (F2) for his role in the 2016 death of James Mulrenin (52).

On December 14, 2016, Mulrenin fell from the balcony of his fifth-floor apartment at The Lofts in Altamonte Springs. It was determined Mulrenin was shot prior to the fall that caused severe head trauma resulting in his death. Altamonte Springs Police arrested and a Grand Jury later indicted both MANDI JACKSON (23), an employee of Thee Dollhouse where Mulrenin was a manager, and her boyfriend LOVE, in connection with the murder.

After the jury verdict, Judge Jessica RECKSIEDLER adjudicated LOVE guilty on all counts and sentenced him to Life in the Department of Corrections for First Degree Felony Murder; 25 years for Burglary with Battery; and 15 years for Robbery (served concurrently). LOVE has been in custody at the Seminole County Jail since his arrest and will now be transfered to the Department of Corrections to begin his sentence.

JACKSON remains in custody on no bond, facing trial on the same charges as LOVE, currently set to begin February 2, 2019.
