February 25, 2019 - Court Denies Umme Ferdousy Reduced Bond in Aggravated Abuse of Elderly Inlaws

Today (Feb 25) Judge Lisa Davidson heard arguments and denied the Defense Motion to lower bond for UMME KULSUM FERDOUSY (38). As a result FERDOUSY will remain in custody at the Brevard County Jail on $40,000 bond as the State prepares the case for trial.

FERDOUSY was arrested on January 30, 2019 for two counts of Aggravated Abuse of an Elderly Person (F2) after Melbourne Police investigated reports she had denied food and water to her live-in elderly mother and father in law. FERDOUSY was also charged with Aggravated Battery Upon a Person 65 years of age or older (F2) after using a knife to stop her mother in law from getting food.

The incidents took place at the family home located on Cypress Bend Circle in Melbourne.
