August 29, 2019 Xaviar TURNER Found Guilty in 2018 Murder of Dimitric Bailey

Today (Aug 29th), a Brevard County Jury found Xaviar TURNER (23) guilty of First Degree Felony Murder (CF), and Robbery with a Firearm (F1 PBL) for his role in the robbery and murder of Dimitric Bailey (22) on July 29, 2018 in Cocoa.

Cocoa Police reported that a surveillance camera captured Dimitric Bailey park his car in front of a home in the 1700 Block of Vagabond Street. TURNER and two other defendants, Kenneth LEVATT (25) and Markice HARVEY (26) then executed a planned robbery and shot Bailey before fleeing the scene. Cocoa Police later found Bailey deceased in his car. All three men were subsequently arrested and held on murder and robbery charges.

TURNER was ordered held in the Brevard County Jail for sentencing scheduled for October 23, 2019 at 9:15 am. The State had waived the death penalty and TURNER now faces a mandatory life sentence.

LEVATT and HARVEY are still in custody awaiting trial.
