February 11, 2008 Three Men Indicted on First-Degree Murder Charges - Nelson Pinero, Alejandro Valdes, and Raydel Alvarez

Two South Florida men and an Orlando man were indicted today (Tuesday, February 5, 2008) by the Brevard County Grand Jury on charges of first-degree premeditated murder in connection with the November 19, 2007, death of Jose Carlos Corcho, 43, in Grant-Valkaria in southern Brevard County.

The three men were each additionally charged with three counts of false imprisonment, and one count each of armed burglary of a dwelling and aggravated assault with a fire arm. The three men are: Nelson Pinero, 25, Miami; Alejandro Valdes, 21, Orlando; and Raydel Alvarez, 26, Hialeah. They each have been held without bond since their arrests during the first weeks of January.

Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt said the Grand Jury heard testimony from a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office crime scene investigator, a sheriff’s agent, and three lay witnesses.
