July 21, 2008 Brevard County Grand Jury Issues Murder Indictments in May Shooting

Quinton Lamar Johnson and Torrance Navel Clark Two men arrested previously by Melbourne Police were indicted today by the Brevard County Grand Jury for the May shooting death of Jerrard Tremain Lamb.

Indictments were returned against both Quinton Lamar Johnson and Torrance Navel Clark for first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Lamb, 22, was discovered in the front yard of a home on Cedar Drive in Melbourne after police were called to the area because of a report of shots being fired on May 20. Clark, 19, no address given; and Johnson, 20, 542 Birch Ave., Palm Bay, remain in the Brevard County Jail where they are being held without bond, said Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt. They are scheduled for a first appearance on the indictment tomorrow.

The jury heard from six witnesses including three law enforcement officers and three lay witnesses.
