October 18, 2022 - Seminole Grand Jury Indicts Alfredo NIEVES III for Drug Delivery Murder

Yesterday (Oct 17), the Seminole County Grand Jury indicted Alfredo NIEVES III (31), for First-Degree Murder-Distribution of a Controlled Substance (CF), in connection to the death of Adam Rainaldi (27), discovered at South Saint Lucie Drive, Casselberry on June 23, 2022.
 
NIEVES III was identified by Seminole County Sheriff's Deputies as the person who provided Cocaine and Fentanyl that according to the Medical Examiner, resulted in the overdose death of Rainaldi. After a rapidly developing investigation, NIEVES III was arrested June 24, 2022, while delivering Fentanyl and Cocaine to undercover agents and held on No Bond at the Seminole County Jail.
 
In addition the Grand Jury also indicted NEIVES III for one (1) count each of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine (F2), and Sale or Delivery of Fentanyl (F2).
 
The Grand Jury heard testimony from Investigators with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office before returning with the indictments.
 
NEIVES III will continue being held on No Bond at the Seminole County Jail. No trial date has been set in this case. Please consult the Seminole Clerk of Courts website for updates on future court appearances by this defendant.
