December 13, 2022 - Brevard Grand Jury Indicts Wade FIELD for First-Degree Murder and Attempted Murder

Today (Dec 13), the Brevard County Grand Jury indicted Wade FIELD (31), on one (1) count of First-Degree Premeditated Murder (CF), for the death of Daniel Wade (64), and one (1) count of Attempted First-Degree Premeditated Murder of Alexis Santos (25), both stemming from a shooting incident at the Siesta Motel in Titusville.

On November 16, 2022, Titusville Police responded to a 911 call of a shooting at the motel. Upon arrival, they found Wade with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Santos told police that she had been sitting with Wade at the motel when FIELD exited a room, produced a firearm, and shot Wade. FIELD then attempted to shoot Santos, but the weapon malfunctioned, and he fled on foot. Police positively identified FIELD and later located him at his home on Forest Road. When they approached, FIELD shot himself but survived.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from the Medical Examiner and Titusville Investigators before issuing the indictments.

FIELD is being held on No Bond at the Brevard County Jail. No trial date has been set in this case. Please consult the Brevard Clerk of Courts website for updates on future court appearances by this defendant.
