The Brevard County Grand Jury issued an indictment charging Donte Richardo Evans, 30 with First-Degree Premeditated Murder today (Nov. 18). Evans was indicted for the death of Lorenza McCreary, 22, on Oct. 6, 2008, at the Brevard County Jail where the two were in the same cell.

Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt said Grand Jurors heard from three witnesses who included an associate medical examiner, a Brevard County Sheriff's Office crime scene technician and an agent. Evans has remained at the jail throughout, but may be scheduled for an arraignment on the charge Wednesday (Nov. 19). Please check with the Brevard County Jail.
