January 22, 2024 - David O'DONNELL Sentenced to 25 Years for Lewd Lascivious Molestation

On Friday (Jan 19), David O'DONNELL (40), entered a plea to four (4) counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Person Under 12 for incidents that occurred in Palm Bay between 2016 and 2017, involving two victims.

O'DONNELL was adjudicated guilty by Circuit Judge Samuel Bookhardt and sentenced to twenty-five (25) years in prison, followed by supervised sexual offender probation for life on each count (served concurrently). O'DONNELL was also deemed a sexual predator and ordered to pay $2513.00 in fines and court costs. O'DONNELL received credit for 2,228 days of time served.

In a statement after the sentencing, Assistant State Attorney Elizabeth Garvey said, "I can't imagine how terrifying each day of O'DONNELL's ongoing abuse must have been. But these incredibly brave victims spoke up and made today's sentence possible." She added, "25 years in prison can be terrifying. Maybe now O'DONNELL understands how that feels."
