February 20, 2024 - Brevard Grand Jury Indicts Ta'Shawn TAYLOR in Palm Bay Triple Murder

On Tuesday (Feb 20), a Brevard Grand Jury Indicted Ta'Shawn TAYLOR (26), on three (3) counts of First-Degree Premeditated Murder (CF), and two (2) Counts) of Attempted First-Degree Murder (LF), in connection to the deaths of Lisa Suglam (31), Angella Suglam (60), and Stephen Suglam (79) in Palm Bay. TAYLOR was also indicted for two (2) counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder for shooting Kamauri Curry (15), and Gary Taylor (59).
 
On January 20, 2024, at 9:30 pm, Palm Bay Police responded to an apartment on Woodlake Drive, after a 9-11 call reporting several persons had been shot. Police located the deceased bodies of Lisa, Angella, and Stephen Suglam inside the home, determining all had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Kamauri Curry and Gary Taylor were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. 
 
Witnesses at the scene identified Ta'Shawn TAYLOR as having fled in a car armed with a firearm. At 10:20 pm police stopped the vehicle being driven by TAYLOR on Babcock Street and arrested him. TAYLOR is being held on No Bond in the Brevard County Jail.
 
The Grand Jury heard testimony from Palm Bay investigators, a lay witness, and the Brevard County Medical Examiner before returning with the indictments. The State will have 45 days after arraignment to make a determination on seeking the death penalty in this case.
