- Brevard Grand Jury Indicts Brian ESTEP and Kenydrick ANDERSON for First-Degree Murder
Tuesday (Apr 30), the Brevard County Grand Jury issued First-Degree Murder indictments for two defendants in two separate homicides.
Brian ESTEP (42), was indicted for First-Degree Premeditated Murder (CF), and Tampering with Evidence Related to a Capital Felony (F2), in connection to the death of Amber Estep (39), his wife.
On January 20, 2024, the body of Amber Estep was recovered from a wooded area off SR 46 in Mims, with the medical examiner ruling her death a homicide. Over the next six (6) days Brevard County Sheriff's Office investigators gathered evidence that established Amber Estep had been murdered by her husband Brian ESTEP during a domestic dispute.
Kenydrick ANDERSON (19), was indicted for First-Degree Felony Murder (CF) and Attempted Robbery with a Firearm (F2) in connection to the death of Factor Curup (43).
On April 12, 2024, Cocoa Police responded to West Crestview Road where Curup was found unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Transported to the hospital, Curup died from his injuries. The medical examiner later ruled the death a homicide. Utilizing surveillance video and witness testimony, investigators established that ANDERSON had followed Curup from a convenience store and shot him during a robbery attempt.
The Grand Jury heard testimony from Investigators with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and Cocoa Police Department, along with the Associate Medical Examiner before returning with the indictments.
Both defendants are being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond. No trial date has been set in these cases. Please consult the Brevard Clerk of Courts website for updates on future court appearances by these defendants.
