May 29, 2024 - Brevard Grand Jury Indicts 3 for First-Degree Murder

Tuesday (May 28), the Brevard County Grand Jury issued murder indictments for three defendants in two separate incidents.

Vahreion KIRKMAN (18), and Davarian HAMILTON (18), were indicted for First-Degree Felony Murder with a Firearm (CF), and Attempted Robbery with a Firearm (F2), in connection to the death of Israel Loredo (21), in Rockledge.

On February 18, 2024, at 7:14 pm, Rockledge Police responded to a vehicle crash at Hammock Harbor Apartments where a 2006 GMC Yukon was found to have struck a light pole on Naples Circle. Inside the vehicle was the body of Israel Loredo who had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and was believed to have been driving resulting in the crash. After a months long investigation KIRKMAN and HAMILTON were tied to the murder using witness testimony, physical evidence, and surveillance recordings. It’s believed that Loredo attempted to flee from a drug related robbery when he was shot.

Theodore NOE (43), was indicted for First-Degree Felony Murder (CF), and Arson of a Dwelling (F1), in connection to the death of David Herles (66), in Melbourne.

On November 15, 2023, at 09:43 am, Melbourne Police and Fire Fighters responded to a 911 report of a home on fire on Guava Avenue. While attempting to extinguish the blaze they discovered Herles lying on the ground and severely burned. Transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, Herles died from his injuries at approximately 11:30 pm that same day.

Over the next six months, investigators learned that NOE and Herles were both local homeless transients who at different times had been living on the porch of the home where the fire occurred. On the day of the murder, NOE had been staying on the porch but returned home to find Herles asleep there. Angered, NOE set the fire that subsequently killed Herles.

The Grand Jury heard testimony from law enforcement investigators, a fire marshal, and civilian witnesses before returning with the indictments.

KIRKMAN, HAMILTON, and NOE are all being held on No Bond at the Brevard County Jail. No trial date has been set in these cases. Please consult the Brevard Clerk of Courts website for updates on future court appearances by these defendants.
