- Christopher STRECK Sentenced to 60 Years for Lewd Molestation
Friday (Aug 30), Circuit Judge David Dugan sentenced Christopher STRECK (37), to sixty (60) years in prison after a Brevard County Jury convicted him on April 4, 2024, on three (3) counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of Person Under 12 Years of Age (LF).
After a four-day trial with evidence presented by Assistant State Attorneys Rebecca Price and Sara Flenniken, the jury returned the guilty as charged verdicts.
Judge Dugan adjudicated STRECK guilty, deemed him a Sexual Predator and ordered lifetime sexual offender probation and electronic monitoring should he ever be released. The sentence also carries a minimum mandatory 25 years in prison before STRECK's credit of 862 days for time served can be applied.
In a statement after the sentencing ASA Price said, "No sentence can effectively account for the loss of innocence and life long trauma these victims will endure" She added, "However, because of their bravery and this jury, every other child will be protected while this predator spends the next sixty years in prison. Exactly where he belongs."
In the coming days STRECK will be transferred to the Florida Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence. He would be in his mid 90's upon completion of his full sentence.
In order to protect the identity of the victims, we are not providing a narrative explaining the circumstances surrounding STRECK's arrest and details of this crime.
